Taiwan!

I loved Taiwan. It was so clean, not crowded, locals were extremely friendly and helpful, everything was cheap, and I could actually communicate... Taiwan's subway was the first time I really used public transportation. I have only ever used LA's train either once or twice in my life, so their subway was something new to me. I got lost every day because I didn't know which line I was taking and where I should get off. Even when I did manage to get off the right exit, I had a difficult time finding exactly where the location is. Driving is a lot easier to me and you can get somewhere pretty much easily and whenever you want, but I must say after driving so much this summer I really enjoy using public transportation. Here are the highlights from Taiwan!

Got a free upgrade to Business Class :D

Dropped my ice cream...

Din Tai Fung :') How cute is the chicken!!

I loved these cheap lunch boxes

Wulai Hot Springs was so relaxing. The locals were extremely friendly here and the experience was definitely something to remember!

Before I dropped my 1ft. tall ice cream :(

View from inside Taipei 101. We didn't realize we could go outside until it closed... Pretty disappointing.

Rice and beef noodle soup from Yong-Kang beef noodle. Mandarin Noodle House is still my fav!

Fisherman's Wharf
Nothing really much to see/do, wouldn't recommend going

Peanut Ice Cream, not good without the ice cream

I think this was a beef wrap it was pretty good + watermelon juice
The infamous oyster omelet that took forever to find was really not that appetizing :(
Raohe Night Market
Scored some good deals on apparel and got myself a new suitcase,
but most importantly I learned and practiced bargaining!

First Two Days

After a 19 hour flight from LAX, we have arrived! We took a taxi to Chung King Mansions (cheap hostel living) and I realized this was my first time in a taxi. We were jetlagged all of Thursday so we didn't explore, but today we finally got to go out and explore.

First meal: One Dim Sum

I love egg waffles! Not a big fan of the fish balls

I thought it was going to be KBBQ on the grill :( but it turned out to be shabu shabu. Not too shabby though!

Victoria Peak is a must visit!

Tomorrow we're headed out to Taiwan for 5 days!
